So much great information! Looking forward to the "interesting" mayoral election. And your discussion with Jane was lovely.

I looked up the Elective details for fun. It made me smile that the two hotels they use are the same two I use when I'm coming to Paris without and AirBnB reservation. Both are great.

The podcast episode with Charli James was a super interesting listen. I obtained citizenship through descent in another EU country and this took me back to the nitty gritty of the application process (which in hindsight seems kind of fun). I am definitely happy that I just needed a personal statement in lieu of the civics and language exams though!

Thanks for listening, Ryan! It’s certainly a laborious process. Out of curiosity, which EU country required only a personal statement? (Lucky!)

Croatia. I believe all Croatian citizenship pathways other than descent require the typical language and civics exams. I feel fortunate that I was able get all the old documents needed to take advantage of this pathway.
