One was living near Bataclan & we thought he was at the concert. I remember the long hours waiting to hear that my people were safe. There is a little window near the Accademia bridge that hung a French flag that morning. I look for it every time I walk by.
Thank you for the reminder. I think about the Paris attacks often these days. Remembering the global outpouring of support, I contrast that to what feels like the world shrugging its collective shoulders - or worse - about the hostages taken by Hamas and the victims of the October 7 civilian massacre 😢
