It’s no surprise that cinema plays a vital role in the Paris arts and culture scene in Paris. While foreign blockbusters and arthouse films are easily accessible in VO (original language), French films present somewhat of a challenge for French language learners— they’re never shown with subtitles. But Lost in Frenchlation, an organization co-founded by Manon Kerjean in 2015, breaks the language barrier and runs screenings of French films, old and new, with English subtitles, and leads Q&As with members of the cast or crew.

If you’re living in Paris part-time, full-time, or just for the week and want the French film experience with a little assistance, Lost in Frenchlation is a solid resource. And for more about the club, what draws in the most crowds, as well as her favorite cinemas in Paris, keep reading for a little chat with Manon!
